Overview
- A PVC that occurs between two normal sinus beats without a compensatory pause
- The PVC “interpolates” between regular sinus beats, so the overall RR interval stays nearly unchanged
- Most commonly seen when the sinus rate is slow enough that the PVC does not reset the SA node
EKG
- Wide, premature QRS occurring between two normal QRS complexes
- No compensatory pause (unlike typical PVCs)
- Regular RR intervals before and after the PVC
